What: A movie premier of Accomplice, ” a provoking documentary that celebrates how the bicycle is more than just a mode of transportation – it’s a vehicle for the human spirit” (Teton Gravity Research). Arrive early to take part in a silent auction filled with bike swag from our amazing sponsors.

Why a movie premier? To create stoke and raise funding for the trail development of Twisted Sister, a new gravity fed jump trail at Beverly Park in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Who is hosting? Linn Area Mountain Bike Association 501c3 with the support of Down 2 Bike Project and Teton Gravity Research. Do you want to see more jumps, drops, and technical features on the local mountain bike trails? Tired of driving over an hour to progress your mountain bike skills? The time is now to build these trails and LAMBA needs your support to make it happen.

This event also introduces the LAMBA Freeriders, a group of biking and trail building enthusiasts intent on building progressive biking trails in the Cedar Rapids, IA area.

How much:

  • Early Bird pricing (Feb 15 until March 7th). $25/adult and $15/child under 13 years old.
  • General Admission (March 8th – March 27th). $30/adults and $20/child under 13 years old.

Why spend $25 on a ticket?

  • Teton Gravity Research makes INCREDIBLE films meant to tickle your imagination and create excitement for extreme sports.
  • All proceeds (minus the screening cost) will be used to build Twisted Sister, a progressive mountain bike dirt jump line at Beverly Park in Cedar Rapids, IA. We are estimating the cost of the dirt and heavy equipment to be $5000.
  • The documentary is family friendly and a great way to motivate and inspire our up and coming youth.
  • Mountain biking is gaining more interest and momentum in all age groups around the area. In order to keep our riders engaged and excited about the trails, we see a need to build trails that reflect the growth of our progressive riders. Let’s start building the next phase in mountain bike skills development.

Where: The Geonetric Building (First floor) located in the NewBo neighborhood of Cedar Rapids, IA. The address is 415 12th Ave SE. Parking is located in the lot behind the building and is free.

  • 5:00pm – Silent auction and community social. Enjoy your favorite libation and peruse the silent auction items. Don’t miss your chance to make a bid for your favorite! 100% of auction proceeds go towards building Twisted Sister.
  • 6:00pm – Accomplice (50 minute film).
  • 7:00 pm – Silent auction winners announced
